13th December 2008

A big hello to all my customers, friends and all that just enjoy looking through my site. I would like to take this moment to say a very happy Christmas to all. May your holidays be enjoyable, safe and full of laughter!

Below are you will find a few pictures with a short description of what I have been up to the past couple of months.

I

I was busy for quite some time sewing a large number of Christmas dresses for 20 and 22" walky dolls.

I was also busy for a week or so sewing more SSC outfit sets!

Some with dark dress and some with a nice light red dress.

I had planed on making a large number of My Child doll Christmas outfits but only had time to make a few.

I can make a number of things to order such as this cape made for a little girl to enjoy!

A commission outfit. This was a challenge as finding the right colour proved harder than Id thought. Customer is happy with the outcome!

A wonderful collector friend of mine had this lovely china and stuffed Peter Rabbit, but he was naked so I had to make him a skin and a jacket! Now he stands proud!

I was sent a doll and a body by a collector customer wanting a My Child rag doll. She sent photos of the clothing her daughter wears. I made clothing for the rag doll to match her daughters outfit. You can see photos of completed doll in the OOAK doll section or click on this link to view LINK

Below you will see some Christmas night gown sets I have made! I love playing around with Christmas fabrics, so there will be lots more Christmas sets to come in the next few months.

For the past few weeks I have been working on a few new projects. Nothing to do with sewing, we have been doing up our home a bit!

I have however managed to fit in a spot of sewing too! My new OOAK My Child doll will be like a rag type doll as in the photo above! She is still in progress but should be completed in the next week or so!

I am still working on my patterns, the instructions are taking for ever to get right. Once the instructions are just right they ill have them tested by someone new to sewing and see if they are easy to follow!

Spent time sorting out my displays

Check out my sewing room link for more photos.

Hope all are well and staying safe too :-)

NZ Service Rifle Team off to South Africa

( Hubby is one of the competitors )

The New Zealand team is doing very well. 5 of the team are in the top 100 shooters. 2 of that 5 are in the top 50 shooters, so a great achievement for our team representing NZ! The last time I heard hubby is around 78th and has even won himself a third play getting himself a bronze medal. So that is a major achievement!

Photos of his trip will be added after the 13th when he has returned home and I have had time to get his photos down loaded and sized ready for up loading!

30th April 2007

A wonderful successful, relaxing week has just past! I managed to finish off all my orders ready for the next few weeks! For the next 2-3 weeks I will be taking time off my orders, and spending as much time on my patterns, hits & tips. I have so many idea. I plan on selling some of my most popular patterns. But it will take me some time to get the instructions and settings all correct! They should be available in the next month or so!

These are some of the outfits ill be using to share my ideas, tips and tricks when it comes to sewing!

This week I have had time to relax and enjoy the sun! Chat and coffee, always good for the mind!

Finished two fairy outfits with matching wings. This set is removable so it can go from doll to doll if needed.

Will it has been sometime since my last update. I have been busy with getting hubby ready for his South Africa trip! In between working on his patches and sewing on name badges I was able to complete a few orders that have been waiting for me! Hope you enjoy the photos below and a little about my hubbys interest!

To the right you can see the patches I have made for the NZ Service Rifle team that are going to South Africa for the SA Combate Rifle Championship Competition.

My husband is one of the 10 NZ shooters going to compete!

The 10 men will leave Auckland NZ tomorrow ( Monday) for a three week trip. The competition starts the 28th and lasts a week! so they have a few days to recover from the long flight and to get a spot of practice in before the fun begins!

I pray for them to have a safe and fun time away!

If I get updates of their progress or photos of them while they are away I will share how they are going!

Dress & Coat for 22" doll

21st Quilt

This quilt was made using the clothing a young girl wore as she was growing up.

In the middle of the quilt, I have used the back of her bridesmaids dress.  The zip works, so her wedding story can be kept in there.

There are a few hidden pockets. These can be used for great memories, notes or just a few bits and pieces that have been kept throughout the years!

A great keepsake or family heirloom.
