Below is!

My new sewing room in progress

Our house before any changes. See the garages at the back!

That is hubbies play room ! my play room will be on the front lawn.

This is the front section where my new rooms are being built.

Marking out for the foundations.

YES!! It is on it way to being built!

Foundations finished!!

Building started

Roof is now on!

On the way to the outside being finished.

One more outside window - that had been forgotten!! LOL

and then onto the inside!! Walls to go up and the plaster and painting!!

Then the big move in !!

As of 11th Aug, this is what it is now looking like below!

The outside is all finished, until the Summer, that is when we will re-do all the grass area.

The two undercoats are finally finished!

Only took one day, but it took about three weeks for me to work myself up to do the job. It was great to have my two son's John and James helping for a while too!

Tomorrow I hope to apply the two top coats!

All painted now! yah glad to have that job finished!

It is now an off white colour! Little creamy coloured id say! Hard to get a good photo of!

Carpet down and moved in - just need to tidy up!

Betty ( My poodle ) has her own chair to sit and watch us on! Her nice new sheep skin rug for her to sleep on while I work!

Today I got more done, but it seams even more messy

Tomorrow should be better

As of the 15th Sep this is how my room is looking now.

I still need to have the blinds and shades installed, but they could be week or so away.

Enter and enjoy :-), I know I do !!

Standing at the doors, and looking in, this it what you see.

Enter, to the left is my Pamela in her chair, my My Child display case, and in the far corner is my Fur fabric shelving..My miniature real sewing machines on top for display!

On the chair, beside the table are my doll waiting to be used as OOAK dolls. On the table are the dolls I am working on now, my Butterflies, a Lace doll and a Pirriot Clown. I have also picked & started my Dec quilt doll. The shelves in the middle are for my lace. The tall set of small drawers are also full of lace, with some of my dolls standing on top.

One of my display cases. This one will be full of different dolls & my miniature bear collection. Plenty to sort out on top too! My tripod and lighting stand are stored in the corner.

The next wall, has a large pin board that I made with plenty of bits pined on already. The door leads into the large storage room. That is where I package up my parcels for posting. That door still needs a paint!

Below the pin board is my Pedigree pram, my antique treadle sewing machine and some other bits and bobs that need sorting!

Below the pin board is my Pedigree pram, my antique treadle sewing machine and some other bits and bobs that need sorting!

This is my work space for a little quite time id say! This is where I do my designing for my embroidery machine, and chat away on email. I still have my two favourate pictures to hang!

When sitting on my chair at my desk, if I turn around this is what I see, my cutting table and the side of shelves full of thing I still need to sort though! too much sorting...I need to get back to the fun stuff, like sewing !!

On the other side of the cutter table are more shelves full of my fabrics to use for what ever comes to mind! I sure am spoilt, I have plenty to keep me going for years id say...along with my lace!

Continuing on from my desk, onto the third wall, I have myself a second pin board, ( I also made) this is for things I want to be able to see and remember I have to use!

The bags under the table are for my special OOAK dolls I have planed for maybe later this year or next year.

Standing further back you can see the second long table, that I use for my embroidery machine, as I don need to sit to use that machine. This table also have heaps of storage...

As you can see I have started using this table. I am doing some photos and descriptions for making Barrettes for a collector..They are simple to make once you know now! so that is another project that I should have done by now!!

Underneath, more storage, for fabric, shoes, dolls parts etc, these shelves could do with a good sorting too..but that will happen one day :-)

On the other side of that table is more storage. This is where I have all my embroidery book, stabilizers, hoops etc. and my thread collection will come in this weekend. I need to get the right wall hangers for them first!

Then just around from my embroidery machine is my sewing area. My sewing machine and overlocker..plenty of space to more and sew away quietly all day!

I had to do some sewing today, just so I can say I feel the enjoyment again! You can see I am working on my butterfly wings and some bear outfits in the left corner.

So very lucky to have so much space.

Standing back, you can see the sewing area, and my Bettys chair and her bed on the floor...one spoilt dog

Then standing back you can see the entrance...

This is my talking Pamela doll in her pj's on her lovely chair, with her own quilt.

As of the 20th Sep, with the new blinds and shades.

My blinds and shades were installed today - they work great, no directly sunlight comes in but the light does. So my sewing room is nice and light during the day for sewing but the light will not damage or fade any thing in my room! Thats if I keep them down.
Here you can see the peg board my husband made and attached to the way. This way I can keep all my sewing bits and pieces close by and organized. Even the thread all have a home and can be kept tidy.
My computer space with a few of my special pictures of the wall. I have a pile of A4 photos graphs printed of my OOAK dolls so will put them up around the wall hopefully this week. Just need to purchase some wall stickers that wont damage the paint work.

As of the 27th Dec

Before and after - gardening between the house & my sewing room!
